"New! Flagr Google Homepage Widget" by dwurtz

Good news! We've completed the first version of the Flagr homepage module. To take it for a spin, click here or the icon below. It currently supports FireFox and Internet Explorer.

The basic functionality is all there...This includes:

Search:
* Type in a keyword and view all flags that match. The search bar will appear to display the total flag number that satisfies the search, and allow you to clear the search to view all flags.

Exploration:
* Drag the map in different directions and new flags will load. If you have initiated a search, only flags that satisfy your search will be displayed.

Image viewing:
* Click on flags that have an image and it will enlarge to the full size of the module.

Customization:
* Start location: Click edit and enter your zipcode of choice. By default, it uses Mountain view but other (non-WiFi) Google users can change this to their home town to view flags in their area. This makes the module more widely applicable.

* Customized pop up window width: Since horizontal space is very limited, we've set the default width of the bubble windows close to the minimum value of 217px. However, for users with larger screen resolutions, the ability to increase the width up to 340px is available. This allows flags with more content to be read without causing the map to recenter too dramatically.

*Safari and Opera are not yet supported.
